  Interesting fact: You probably don’t pay much attention to your eye blinking every day but are you aware that we blink on average an astounding 20,000 – 30,000 times a day? This averages to 1.5 hours of blinking each day! Blinking helps keep the eye lubricated and removes any dirt or debris. One study even found a neurological link to blinking, where blinking acts as a sort of reset for the brain which can be beneficial for retaining attention span and healthy vision.

 Interesting fact: You may have heard the saying that “the eyes are the window to the soul.” Actually, a more appropriate saying would be “the eyes are the window to the brain,” as the eyes are the only part of the brain we can see directly without looking into your skull. When an optician shines a light in your eye, they examine your retina and optic nerve, which attaches to your brain.
